Hi just updated the the site to show a flash back to our 2015 club show held at Minstead Village hall in May earlier this year. A page for next years show to be held Sunday May the 8th 2016 has now been added.
Also you may notice that Issue 1 of the Dorset digger has also been added. The rest of the ‘diggers’ will now follow over the coming months. There are 37 issues to get to you all.
A few of the Dorset boys made the trip up from the South to the Elsecar show last weekend. It consisted of an un-reserved auction on the Saturday and a show on the Sunday, with a main auction as well. The auction Saturday had some bargains. The Sunday show was buzzing with lots of people in attendance. I was too busy to take photos, the time just flew by.
BBR’s next event is the Winter Wonders Auction Sunday 6th Dec and following soon after the BBR’s Winternational Auction and Show 23rd and 24th Jan.
Surrey show was as good as always with lots of people, stalls to buy, wonderful displays and an auction to boot. Definitely on the up. The Dorset Boys enjoyed it! Look at the pictures and judge for yourself.
The Dorset Club meeting in October centered around its annual member fish and chip supper. Silence descended upon the meeting room for a brief period where members tucked into fish and chips provided by the club.
Forgot to take camera this month Ahh!!! So a general shot for you all.
The pharmacy items was won by some local retailers ointment pots. The emerald green bottle category, Southampton Aldridge Green dumpy Codd mineral water bottle. Any bottle from the Isle of Wight, A Hibberd cadged bird feeder, closely followed by a Goulds ginger beer match striker. The best dug bought and sad finds had some entries which showed that members had been active over the past month. The postcard category was won by a transport theme of plane, boat and motorcycle.
This coming weekend is the Surrey Bottle Show organised by the Surrey Bottle Collector’s Club.

Memory loss struck again in August when I forgot to bring along a camera so no pictures of labeled chemist bottles, Stoneware flasks soda siphons to show. A few were holidaying as well. Things started to return to normal with the September Meeting with a good show of competition items and additions to members Collections. A general natter and catch up with what was going on in the bottle world in Dorset.

A few of the Dorset boys went the the Somerset & Devon clubs yearly show at Exeter. Despite a damp start to the day. A good time was had by all. and we foraged successfully for a few Dorset items to add to our collections. The show was particularly good for the excellent displays members put on. Thanks guys the effort was appreciated. Make a diary for next years one not to miss!

Hi all just a last minute reminder that the Somerset & Devon Bottle clubs yearly show is happening this coming Sunday. This is a small friendly show and has the benefit of a BBR on the road auction. I am sure that the Dorset boys will be sending a raiding party across the borders. There promises to be the finest display of regional items. Looking forward it see them.

Julys meeting members showed of some quality Warners Safe Cure, amber minerals and best bought in the displays. Members generally nattered about what they had been doing over the past month.

More best bought items in a rockingham treacle glaze man on barrel, handbag shaped bed warmer, and Wareham named Doulton Warmer.
The amber mineral water class brought out two amber dumpy RUWAIC Codds from Ventnor Isle of Wight and a Oram with Tun (barrel) and T reade mark. This trade mark goes back some time see 17th century Trade token fro Taunton featuring the identical mark. Is this associated with the Cider industry for which the town is famous?
