Dorset Club Meeting Jan 2016

jan16 jan23There was a good turn out for January’s meeting with members showing off their Christmas presents in the best bought category. Once again some excellent competition entries showing off their collections.

The Whisky Jug Catagory brought out some of the Locals Gayton Blue top Southampton, Hodges Bournemouth, Dorchester and Weymouth. Green top Lovibond Salisbury, sone nice special sprigging as well.

I don’t know what superman would have thought of the best dug Crypton Toothpaste lid Manchester found a long way from home if only it could talk to how it got here. And some Victorian silver Forgeries from the Thames.

Club members had been spending their Christmas money and bought them selves a few presents in the strongly contested best bought cat.

A couple of Sad finds in the form of a C1840 Ringwood Flagon Mills Ringwood and a badly damaged Worth Chemist Pot Lid Bournemouth.

Old Badges brought out a Hampshire Regiment  and AFS  Badges clearly dug by members.

Mike distributed latest copies of the Dorset Digger mag (free to members) but also brought a long a few of the bottles behind the excellent research and stories.
