A reasonably trouble free drive up to this show via the A34. This one is the last Show on the calender and saw many faces from all around the country as it’s a central location. I got a space in the hall car park but for those arriving after 8.30 the main town car park just a few minutes away and free to boot.
I like to do the early entry for this one rather than stalling as sometimes its good to just wander about look for bits and pieces, have a buttie and cuppa (reasonably priced), natter and talk. After this a drive back home in time for lunch.
There were some nice freshly dug items on offer. Top of the tree had to be the local blue lip Codds from Blakes. I came away with a few lids and transferred items of stoneware.
Also a sneak preview of the of David Burtons Antique Sealed Bottles out just after Christmas. All I can say is Wow!!! well worth the money going to become a standard reference text on the subject. Pre order a copy today from BBR (see links) at £170 (£80 off RRP). I’ll post more later on this it deserves a post of it’s own.
