March 2018 Club Meeting cancelled

Just to let everyone know this Months Meeting Thursday 1st Will be cancelled. Whilst we don’t know for certain that the forcast snow will happen given the risk and the distances traveled by members and after a discussion with the Community Centre Manager. It has been decided to cancel the regular monthly meeting tomorrow evening when the worst snow is forcast for our region. We don’t wish members to be potentially stranded.

We hope to see all our regular and new members when we meet up again in April.

Dorset Antique bottle club Meeting April 2017

Good turnout for this meeting with lots of preparation for the coming club show at Minstead Village Hall Sunday May 14th.

The competion entries were excellent some flat bottomed hamiltons / Skittles

Favorite black and white potlid brought out some stunners.

2 Soda Syphons brought out some coloured’s and a few white rarities.

There were some dug items this month

Best bought item of the month was very a very well entered category

This Harris pot is a modern reproduction the glaze and over transfer printing a dead giveaway from the original. But makes a nice pen pot.

On the other end of the spectrum Paul brought in his Roman Glass tears and oil lamp. not in bad nick for 2000 years old!
